Benefits of Karnapidasana –

Strengthens the body: This asana helps in making the body strong and flexible. And at the same time it also works to tone the abdominal part. With this, problems like stomach pain, diabetes and kidney can also be kept away.

Reducing stress: By its practice, the brain has a good effect of respiration and also increases blood circulation. It also provides peace of mind while reducing stress.

How to do Karnapidasana

Since it is an advanced yoga practice, it should be practiced in the initial phase only under the supervision of an expert.

  • First of all, lie down on your back and keep your arms and legs in a straight line.
  • While inhaling, raise the legs upwards and slowly move the legs behind the head.
  • Now keep the entire weight of the body on your shoulders and keep the hands straight on the ground as before.
  • After this, you bend both your legs from the knees.
  • After bending both the knees, bring them to the ears so that both the ears are covered by the knees.
  • Maintain this state and keep breathing at a normal pace, then slowly come back to your first position while exhaling.

Precautions of Karnapidasana –

  • In the beginning, it should be practiced under the supervision of a yoga expert.
  • During the exercise, keep your breathing normal.
  • Weak people should do it with great care.

Contraindications of Karnapidasana-

This asana should not be practiced in low condition.
